The Utah State University Big Band Swing Club will be hosting the 6th Annual Elite Hall Benefit Dance this Saturday, Dec. 3! The dance will be held at Elite Hall (83 W. Main Hyrum, UT) and is home to one of the most amazing spring loaded dance floors. All proceeds of the dance will go to Hyrum City for maitenance, repairs, and upkeep of the historic building.
From 7:00 to 8:00 dance lessons will be provided. From 8:00 to 11:30 the Larry Smith Combo will provide live jazz music on the main floor where there will be swing and ballroom. In addition to the live jazz music, there will be a Latin room for salsa dancing by the freestyle dance company. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $15 for couples and $10 for individuals.
Refreshments will be served. During the evening their will be performances by USU's two swing dance teams: Swingcopation and Swingset. A strictly lindy competition will be offered with excellent prizes for winners. Entrance into the competition is free.
